A great healthy snack - if you don't cover it in butter, salt & sugar like we do!
Make at home with the kids and then put your feet up for family movie time. This is how I make perfect pop corn:
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup popcorn kernels
- 1 Tbsp or more (to taste) of butter (optional)
- Salt to taste
Heat the oil in a heavy bottom pan that has a lid. Place 2 or 3 kernels in the bottom of the pan, when they pop remove it from the heat, your oil is now at the right temperature.
Put the rest of the kernels into the pan and put the lid on. Count to 30. Give the pan a little shake and put the pan back on the heat, now you'll hear the pop corn really start to pop. Once the pops are several seconds apart your popcorn is done.
